The central image of the logo depicts that of an empowered, insured, satisfied, and healthy family.

 The yellow rays below are composed of five small rays symbolizing the reform areas (social health insurance, hospital reforms, local health system development, regulatory reforms and public health) and the four big rays representing the key stakeholders (Department of Health, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, the local government units and, the private sector).

 These rays are joined together at the base emphasizing the importance of the convergence and synergy of the reform areas and the stakeholders in realizing the vision of empowered, insured, satisfied, and healthy families.
