Managing Your Organization's Finances

In addition to their primary role --delivering services -- health managers are responsible for ensuring that their organization's resources are used responsibly and appropriately, and are adequate to meet future needs. In an era of declining donor and national funding, greater emphasis is being placed on improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; adopting commercial models of financing, including cost recovery; increasing transparency; and reducing costs.
